Memorable Images

There are many memorable images in the narrative from Washington’s book. This time, I will only mention one.

The difference of races. When Washington is put in charge of 75 Indians, and he has to take one of them to get attended. He says that they were of the same color, and that the only difference was their race. When he took the Indian to get attended, the whites said that they would happily attend him, but that there was no room for Washington. With that he realized that it wasn’t the color that made them be rejected, but it was their race.

That was one of the memorable images in the narrative of Washington’s book.
